The Brondesbury Group is a blend of experienced financial services and research professionals working together to bridge a common gap in client needs.  Two-thirds of their people have career experience in financial services, particularly trade and treasury management. One-third have a background in financial services research.  Most have substantial international experience.

Their specialty is complex studies that require an understanding of corporate buyers and how they make decisions, especially in trade and treasury management.  The nature of their work is best illustrated by a few of their past studies.

  • Global Trade Banking: A 35-country study of trade banking and insurance services bought by large corporates/MNCs, as well as their assessment of the major competitors.

  • Supply Chain Management: End-to-end supply chain management of documents and payments was the focus.  We identified critical success factors for adoption of supply chain solutions among corporations, as well as barriers to uptake and expected revenue.

  • Revenue & Profitability in US trade finance: Transaction volumes and profitability of US trade transactions were estimated in this study, both overall and for key segments.

  • Bank Insourcing of Transaction Services:  Most recent is a global study of the bank market (assets $6 billion or more) for outsourcing payment and trade transactions, done on behalf of ABN-AMRO.  More than 150 banks participated in the study.

  • Competitive Intelligence – Trade Banking: We analyzed the competitive position of the top five international trade banks in each of four global regions creating a number of benchmarks for our client. The analysis focused on performance and productivity, but also included management structure, deployment of sales staff, handling of front and back office, product differentiation, and electronic delivery capabilities.

  • Organizational Design – Trade Centers: We designed a Trade Center program for a major European bank that helped them deliver service in a way that responded to customer needs across bank functions.  The marked contrast to banks organizing for their own needs led to consistent out-performance of the market.

For TradeEvolution, The Brondesbury Group is a partner that helps staff our consulting projects with highly experienced market research resources as well as provide market resource data when required.
